It’s always a possibility that we add additional offerings with difference scent profiles.
Our Laundry Detergent is indeed SLS-free. You might be confusing two ingredients that are very similar. We use Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), a plant-derived cleaning agent. To learn about the key differences between SLS and SLES, check out this blog: Read
Thanks for reaching out with your question! Boulder Clean products are formulated to be safer for you and your home! We use natural surfactants that are derived from plants and produce less suds than petrochemical surfactants made from crude oil, making our detergents a great alternative for households that rely on septic systems.

Hi Aubrey,
“Put on the kid gloves—silks require delicate care”.
Our laundry detergent is considered a general detergent meaning it’s suitable for most garment types and fabrics but not delicate materials like silk. Silk clothing generally requires a specialty detergent that is made for delicate fabrics.
You can toss your blouse in a gentle wash cycle, but it’s best to wash these velvety soft items one at a time in the sink. Fill your basin with cool or cold water to help keep the color, then add a gentle detergent. Silk is a protein that’s a lot like your hair, so treat the fabric like you would your locks-meaning no harsh detergents. We recommend using a mild shampoo like Ivory or a specialty detergent like Woolite. Place the garment in the water, give it a stir, and let it sit for just a few minutes. Silk releases dirt quickly, so the process doesn’t take long. Next, drain the soapy mix and rinse.

Thank you for your question. The weight of the laundry is not necessarily what determines the amount of liquid detergent to use. Instead, there are a few different factors to consider:
Laundry Machine Capacity:
How much laundry makes a “full load” depends on the size, or capacity, of your washing machine. Refer to your machine’s owner’s manual or contact the manufacturer for specific load-weight recommendations for your machine model.
High Efficiency vs Standard Machines:
High Efficiency (HE) machines use less water than conventional washing machines. Without all the extra water to distribute the detergent and then rinse it away, you must use less detergent which is why we have two measurement lines on our cap: one for standard machines and one for HE machines. For HE machines, you’ll need to fill to the first line.
Depending on the size of the load, the level of soil on the clothes and the hardness of your water supply, you may need to consider adding more detergent. If you have a large capacity drum, and you are washing a full load, then you’ll need to use additional detergent. We recommend filling to that second line of the cap for heavy duty or oversized loads of laundry.

Use 1 ounce for a regular load and for HE machines. Use 2 ounces for standard machines and for heavily soiled or larger loads.
